MCIU International Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme in Nigeria, 2015-2016

Delta State based Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, (MCIU) is offering hundred and fifty (150) scholarships for Nigerian students. The MCIU international scholarships are part of the new MCIU Scholars schemes, which will directly benefit students entering undergraduate education in 2015/2016. Every successful applicant can receive up to one million naira, (5000USD) towards his or her tuition fees at MCIU for the duration of the recipient’s undergraduate study. All applications should be submitted by 30 August 2015.

Study Subject(s): Undergraduates courses offered at MCIU in 2015/2016 include: Accounting, Banking and Finance; Business Administration, Economics, Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Physics.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate (B.Sc.) programme.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible to apply students must:
-Be at least 16 years of age.

-Possess at least five credit “O” level passes which must include a credit pass in English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject in not more than two sittings.
-Entry requirement for Direct Entry must include UTME requirement for that particular course.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Nigerian students can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description: The Delta State based Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, (MCIU) is pleased to announce the establishment of these awards as part of the MCIU Scholars schemes for undergraduate qualifications in its Faculty of Management and Social Sciences and that of Faculty Of Natural And Applied Sciences in the academic year 2015 / 2016. MCIU is a world-class institution dedicated to the alleviation of poverty through knowledge, they are looking for students who are pursuing higher learning so that they can play a part in making their society a better place.

Number of award(s): There are a total of One hundred and fifty (150) scholarships and bursaries available, and every successful applicant can receive up to One million naira towards his or her tuition fees at MCIU for the duration of the recipient’s undergraduate study”.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships are awarded for the duration of the recipient’s undergraduate study.

What does it cover? Every successful applicant can receive up to One million naira, (5000USD) towards his or her tuition fees at MCIU for the duration of the recipient’s undergraduate study.

Selection Criteria: Students will be selected on the basis of a Personal Statement and Interview. A good personal statement must not exceed 500 words and it will be a chance to tell us about yourself, why you think you deserve this scholarship and how you think it will help you serve yourself and your school once you graduate.

Notification: Successful applicants will be notified of results by SMS, emails and notice posted on MCIU website.

Step 2: Carefully compose your personal statement (remember the 500 word limit).
